What Zammad is#
Zammad is the open-source ticketing system popular across European businesses and public sector, sharing roots with OTRS. It does not ship AI but can wire LLMs into tickets via webhooks and triggers.
If your customers prefer formal email / ticket interactions over real-time chat, Zammad is the conservative choice. For real-time IM and widgets, Chatwoot is smoother.
